Pediatric Physician — Outpatient-Focused, Academic Faculty Role in Martinsburg (Mon–Fri, 40 hrs)

A respected healthcare organization in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physician to join a growing, collaborative team. This position offers comprehensive outpatient pediatric practice with opportunities for optional inpatient involvement and active participation in academic and teaching activities.

Position details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40-hour work week
• Primary setting: Outpatient (optional inpatient participation available)
• Faculty role with teaching and mentorship responsibilities
• Typical patient volume: ~16–18 patients per day

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide full-scope outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through 24 years of age
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Perform preventive care visits, wellness exams, and immunizations
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality

Academic and teaching responsibilities

• Teach, mentor, and precept medical students, residents, and fellows
• Support clinical education initiatives and contribute to a positive learning environment
• Participate in departmental academic activities as appropriate

Qualifications

• MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for or currently holding a West Virginia medical license
• DEA registration required by start date
