Locum Tenens Remote PMHNP – Pediatric/Adolescent Psychiatry (1099, NJ, $120/hr)

Fully remote locum tenens (1099) opportunity providing evidence-based psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative virtual setting. Ideal for PMHNPs with pediatric/adolescent experience who value flexibility and autonomy.

Schedule

• Minimum 10 hours/week
• Availability during peak demand: weekdays after 3:00 PM ET and/or flexible weekends

Scope of Practice

• Telehealth psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups (patients ages 2+)
• Diagnose and treat pediatric and young adult mental health conditions
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide patient and family education
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams for continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active, unrestricted New Jersey PMHNP/APN/CRNP license
• DEA registration with prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2 years of independent psychiatric practice post-licensure
• Experience with pediatric populations (ages 2+)
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHRs, and digital tools
• Reliable computer, phone, and high-speed internet
