Ophthalmologist (Board-Certified/Eligible) — Academic Practice at Brown University Health, Providence, RI

Brown University Health invites a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to join a collaborative, well-established department in Providence, Rhode Island. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient and surgical practice within an academically affiliated setting, supported by modern surgical facilities and a strong regional referral network.

Clinical responsibilities

• Join a team of 12 ophthalmology providers delivering comprehensive primary and specialty eye care.
• Provide outpatient clinical care and perform surgery at two fully equipped surgical centers in Providence, RI and Attleboro, MA.
• Participate in coordinated care across a multidisciplinary system.

Academic opportunities

• Engage actively in a residency program with Brown-affiliated medical students.
• Mentor and precept Physician Assistant students during clinical rotations.
• Contribute to teaching, mentorship, and other academic activities.

Compensation and benefits

• Competitive base salary range: $225,000–$325,000, plus RVU-based productivity incentives.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
