Job Description
We’re looking for a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon to join a physician-owned, boutique practice in Lafayette, Louisiana. This is not your typical high-volume, multi-specialty group—our practice is subspecialty-focused, emphasizing clinical autonomy, individualized care, and close collaboration among fellowship-trained surgeons.
What makes this practice different:
- Physician-owned and boutique — built around subspecialty excellence rather than volume.
- Foot & Ankle–centered model with a high-touch patient experience.
- Collaborative team of highly skilled clinicians.
- Focus on quality outcomes and physician decision-making.
- Opportunity to pursue equity partnership.
What you’ll do:
- Evaluate and manage a wide range of foot and ankle issues, from acute injuries to complex chronic conditions.
- Perform advanced foot and ankle surgical procedures.
- Create individualized, patient-centered treatment plans.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes.
- Keep accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Contribute to practice development and growth initiatives.
Who we’re looking for:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completed orthopedic surgery residency and fellowship training in Foot & Ankle surgery.
- Board certified or board eligible in orthopedic surgery.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Louisiana.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-touch, subspecialty practice and committed to patient-focused care.
Compensation and benefits:
- Competitive base salary with productivity-based incentives.
- Equity partnership track.
- Malpractice insurance coverage.
- CME allowance and retirement plan options.
- Generous paid time off.
- Relocation assistance, if applicable.
If you want to practice in a collegial, subspecialized environment with a focus on quality care and clinical autonomy, this position in Lafayette offers a compelling opportunity.
