Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (OB/GYN) — Brown University Health, Providence, RI

Brown University is looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology physician to join a well-established, collaborative women’s health team in Providence, RI. This role offers full-scope OB/GYN practice in a supportive setting with strong clinical resources, dedicated staff, and easy access to subspecialty care. Our busy, dynamic group manages over 1,700 deliveries per year and provides excellent academic opportunities — teaching, mentorship, case review, and performing C-sections with Brown University residents.

You’ll be part of a team that includes seven experienced OB/GYN physicians, full-time certified nurse midwives, a Gynecologic Oncologist, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, and two Hospitalists. The patient population is diverse, and the culture emphasizes teamwork and high-quality care.

Schedule and responsibilities

• Balanced obstetrics and gynecology practice (about 50/50)
• Four clinic days per week
• Half-day of dedicated OR time weekly
• One full day of protected administrative time
• Call: 1:8 rotation, 12-hour shifts (holiday coverage differs)
• Opportunity to teach residents and medical students at Brown

Clinical facilities and support

• Eleven-room birthing center with spacious private rooms
• Labor support amenities including hydrotherapy tubs
• Lactation support services and a comprehensive postpartum program
• Level II ultrasound, on-site radiology, and advanced cervical screening
• Readily available subspecialty support

Compensation and benefits

• Competitive base salary range: $260,000–$300,000, plus incentives up to $50,000 annually

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
• Eligible for Rhode Island medical licensure
