Emergency Medicine Physician — $300/HR, $75K Sign-On, 2 ED Sites in Aiken/NA, Flexible Schedule

Join a team of 16 emergency medicine physicians and 9 advanced practice providers providing emergency care in Aiken, SC and North Augusta, GA.

Practice locations and volumes

• Medical Center (Aiken, SC): 273-bed community hospital, 30-bed ED, certified chest pain and stroke center. ED volume: 43,000 annual visits. Coverage: 39 physician hours/day, 30 APP hours/day.
• The ER at Sweetwater (North Augusta, GA): 10-bed freestanding ED. ER volume: 23,000 annual visits. Coverage: 24 physician hours/day, 12 APP hours/day.

Clinical and professional activities

• Provide full-spectrum emergency care at both sites.
• Participate in hospital committees: credentials, sepsis, peer review, medical executive.
• Collaborate with consulting specialists and administration.
• Teaching opportunities with APP students and internal and family medicine residents.

Schedule and employment model

• Independent contractor.
• Flexible scheduling; full-time minimum 120 hours/month.
• Manage all aspects of community emergency medicine in collaboration with colleagues.

Compensation and incentives

• $300/hour days; $325/hour nights.
• $75,000 sign-on bonus for full-time shift commitment.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work as an independent contractor with minimum monthly hours.
