Board-Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologist — University-Affiliated Level I Trauma & Burn Center (Phoenix, AZ)

University-affiliated teaching hospital in metropolitan Phoenix seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible anesthesiologist for a full-time clinical faculty position. The facility is a state-designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and ABA-verified Burn Center with opportunities for academic appointment.

Clinical scope

• Manage anesthesia for a broad caseload (~11,000 anesthesia encounters/year) including: labor & delivery, neonatal and general pediatrics, general and robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastic surgery, burn care, level 1 trauma, orthopedics, podiatry, and procedures outside the OR.
• Perioperative and critical care use of TEE.

Call schedule

• In-house call 4–5 times per month.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for high-acuity adult and pediatric patients.
• Supervise and teach residents (emergency medicine and surgery), CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-volume, high-complexity environment.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Experience or comfort with high-acuity/trauma and pediatric cases.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced teaching hospital.
• Interest in academic medicine and teaching preferred.
