Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Okeechobee, FL

We are hiring an experienced Emergency Medicine physician for locum tenens coverage in Okeechobee, FL. This role provides flexible scheduling and the chance to deliver high-quality acute care across diverse emergency department settings.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage patients presenting with a broad range of emergency conditions
• Perform thorough histories, physical exams, and order/interpret diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, procedures, and disposition decisions
• Provide timely documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain adherence to departmental protocols and quality/safety standards

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
• Active Florida medical license
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
