Location: Sarasota, FL
Assignment type: Locum tenens — flexible shifts in emergency department settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency care for a broad range of acute medical conditions
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments: history, physical exam, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, procedural interventions, and minor surgical procedures
- Stabilize and triage patients, coordinate care with nursing and consulting services, and document encounters accurately and timely
- Maintain patient safety and follow departmental protocols and state regulations
Required qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Active Florida medical license
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
Additional:
- Immediate availability for locum assignments preferred
