Locums CRNA — Independent Practice, Outpatient-Focused Float (Clare/Gladwin/West Branch, MI)

We’re looking for a Locum CRNA to float between facilities in Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch, Michigan. You’ll work independently within a supportive rural health system, managing a solid mix of routine anesthesia cases with occasional specialty procedures and a predictable call schedule centered in Clare.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Call rotation: 1:3, primarily based in Clare
• 1-hour response time in Clare
• Weeknight call coverage until 11:00 PM; weekend call 7:00 AM–11:00 PM
• 1–2 holidays per year

Practice setting and support

• Independent CRNA model with backup and resources available as needed
• Mostly outpatient (80–90%) with some inpatient work (10–20%)
• Electronic charting in Epic

Typical case mix

• General “bread-and-butter” anesthetics and MAC cases
• Laparoscopic abdominal procedures
• Scopes/GI cases (GI performed at Gladwin)
• Ophthalmology (cataracts)
• Podiatry (about 4 days/month)
• Orthopedics (about half a day/month, includes blocks)
• Occasional vascular cases (roughly 1 day/month)
• Cardiology procedures (TEEs, cardioversions)
• Regional anesthesia: blocks are optional; refresher support available
• Ward and ED support when needed (IV access, airway management, perioperative anesthesia expertise)

Requirements

• Active Michigan nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Prior experience practicing independently is preferred
