Job Description
Locum Radiation Oncology physician needed to provide predominantly outpatient coverage in Alpena, Michigan. Focus on continuity of care, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Schedule
- 3 days/week
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Preferred days: Tuesday–Thursday (flexible)
Practice setting
- Clinic: 99% outpatient, 1% inpatient (inpatient consults infrequent)
- Weekly tumor board attendance required
- EMR: Epic
- Dictation: Dragon
Clinical responsibilities
- E&M services
- New consults and follow-ups
- Radiation treatment management
- Treatment planning and oversight
Procedures & technology
- CT simulation (CT Sim)
- Image-guided RT (IGRT)
- IMRT, VMAT
- SBRT, SRS
- HDR brachytherapy
Requirements
- Active Michigan medical license (MI only)
- BLS certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
