Locum OBGYN Physician — Inpatient Rounding & Evening/Weekend Call in Richmond, VA

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OBGYN to provide locum coverage in Richmond, Virginia. This on-site role supports a busy obstetrics and gynecology service with inpatient rounding and evening/weekend call coverage.

Schedule & call

• Weekday inpatient rounding (on-site)
• Evening and weekend on-site call coverage
• Average patient volume: ~11 patients/day

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including assessment and management of complex cases
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and coordinate care plans
• Participate in evening and weekend call coverage to support the hospital team
• Collaborate with nurses, mid-level providers, and other physicians to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR

Required qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in OBGYN
• Active Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience in inpatient OBGYN care, including labor & delivery and gynecologic procedures
• Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically eClinicalWorks (outpatient) and Meditech (inpatient)
