Job Description
Locum Tenens position at a newly opened freestanding emergency room in Panama City, FL.
Facility
- 11,000 sq. ft. freestanding emergency department
- 11 treatment bays, including a fully equipped trauma bay
- All private treatment rooms
- Separate adult and pediatric waiting areas
Primary responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to all presenting patients
- Evaluate, stabilize, and manage medical and traumatic emergencies
- Use trauma bay and treatment rooms appropriately for critical care
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with EMS for transfers from ambulance to ED
- Communicate and hand off patients to inpatient teams and other healthcare providers as needed
- Document care accurately and timely in the medical record
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Active Florida medical license
