Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Vascular & Interventional Radiologist to provide locum tenens hospital-based coverage in Wellington, FL. This role requires independent onsite daytime practice and overnight/weekend call coverage to support moderate-to-high procedural volume during planned staff vacation.
Assignment details
- Locum Tenens; hospital setting (Cerner EMR)
- Coverage period: Mon, Jul 6, 2026 – Mon, Oct 5, 2026 (coverage blocks include Jul 6–12 and Jul 20–26)
- Clinical schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Call schedule: Weeknights 5:00 PM–8:00 AM; weekends Sat–Sun 8:00 AM–8:00 AM (24-hour coverage)
Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of IR services independently, including angiography, vascular access, drain placements, CT/US-guided biopsies, embolization procedures, and other hospital-based interventions
- Manage emergent and scheduled cases with moderate-to-high procedural volume
- Serve as the solo IR physician on site, collaborating with IR technologists and nursing staff
Requirements & privileges
- Active Florida medical license required (must have license in hand)
- BC/BE ABR with completed IR fellowship
- Comfortable working independently in a hospital IR program and available for full onsite day and call coverage
- Temporary privileges and expedited credentialing available (approximately one-week temporary credentialing)
