Job Description
- Call only -- 1 weekend per month (Fri 7 am - Mon 7 am)
- 24-hour on-call shifts -- call ratio 1:5
- 6 - 18 phone consults per 24 hours -- 1 - 2 admissions per call
- General neurosurgery (adult) -- trauma and tumor cases
- Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation required
- VP shunt placement and ICP monitor placement required
- Application of external traction required
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
- Assignment details and time entry in online portal
