Required license:
- Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function.
- Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders; determine type and severity.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia; instruct patients and families on strategies and exercises.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
