Locum General Orthopedic Surgeon — Full-Time 6-Month Assignment, Berlin NH

Location: Berlin, New Hampshire
Duration: Full-time locum, approx. 6 months

Schedule

• Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hr lunch)
• OR: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Clinic: Tuesday, Friday
• Call: Shared rotation, ~10 call days per month

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat general orthopedic conditions in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings
• Perform a broad range of orthopedic surgical procedures, including total joint replacements
• Manage pre- and post-operative care and follow-up visits
• Provide shared call coverage for orthopedic emergencies
• Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialty colleagues

Required Experience

• Total joint replacement surgery (hip, knee, shoulder) — required
• Management of musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative conditions
• Comfortable treating an aging patient population
• Preferred: experience with common hand conditions (trigger finger, carpal tunnel)
• Highly preferred: experience evaluating and managing spine/back pain

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active New Hampshire medical license or ability to obtain promptly
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
