Location: Berlin, New Hampshire
Duration: Full-time locum, approx. 6 months
Schedule
- Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hr lunch)
- OR: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Clinic: Tuesday, Friday
- Call: Shared rotation, ~10 call days per month
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat general orthopedic conditions in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings
- Perform a broad range of orthopedic surgical procedures, including total joint replacements
- Manage pre- and post-operative care and follow-up visits
- Provide shared call coverage for orthopedic emergencies
- Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialty colleagues
Required Experience
- Total joint replacement surgery (hip, knee, shoulder) — required
- Management of musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative conditions
- Comfortable treating an aging patient population
- Preferred: experience with common hand conditions (trigger finger, carpal tunnel)
- Highly preferred: experience evaluating and managing spine/back pain
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active New Hampshire medical license or ability to obtain promptly
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
