Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) — 26Week Contract in Waverly, VA | $47/hr, Day/Night Shifts

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team providing clinical nursing services at a correctional facility in Waverly, Virginia. This is a 26-week contract role with an ASAP start and a hands-on, fast-paced environment. What you’ll be doing

• Assess patient health needs, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and keep clear, detailed medical records.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
• Take and record vital signs, document symptoms or changes in condition, and report concerns to the care team.
• Assist with examinations and treatments, prepare rooms and equipment, and help maintain appropriate supply levels.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests as needed to guide patient care.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Follow state regulations and facility policies at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested by the facility.

Shift, schedule, and pay

• Assignment length: 26 weeks (contract)
• Coverage: Clinical
• Shift options: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Start date: ASAP
• Rate: $47.00/hr

Requirements

• Current, active Virginia RN license
• Minimum one year of corrections experience
• CPR certification
• Resume/CV
