Locum Tenens Pediatric Surgeon (Call Only)

We’re looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage at a well-established children’s hospital. This role blends inpatient and outpatient care, operative work, and call duties, all within a collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric environment.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate and manage surgical patients from newborns through adolescents
• Perform a broad range of pediatric general surgery procedures
• Round on inpatient units and provide consultative services
• Cover emergency and trauma surgeries as needed
• Work closely with NICU, PICU, emergency medicine, and pediatric hospitalist teams
• Keep timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

What we’re looking for

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Surgery Fellowship
• Active state medical license or the ability to obtain one
• DEA registration
• Current BLS and PALS certifications (ATLS preferred if trauma coverage is required)
• Experience treating neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent surgical patients
