Locums Family Medicine Physician — Outpatient, 4-Day Week, No Call/Weekends (St. Ignace, MI)

We’re looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in St. Ignace, Michigan. This outpatient role offers a predictable four-day workweek (no call, no weekends), so you can maintain an excellent work-life balance while doing meaningful primary care.

Assignment snapshot

• Start date: Tentatively August 3, 2026
• Length: Minimum 12 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour shifts
• Call/weekends: None
• Setting: Outpatient primary care
• Patient population: Adult and geriatric
• Volume: About 18–22 patients per day
• EMR: Epic

What you’ll do

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care for adults and older adults
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Provide preventive care, wellness visits, and chronic disease management
• Evaluate and treat acute volume and blood pressure concerns
• Perform pelvic exams and Pap smears as needed
• Complete disability examinations when requested
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure patient-centered, high-quality care

What we’re looking for

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (must achieve Board Certification within 3 years of residency completion)
• Active Michigan medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
• At least one year of primary care experience
