Locum tenens opportunity in Charleston, WV at an acute care hospital. Coverage runs from 11/01/2026 for 6 months, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. Clinical-only role supporting an adult Level IV trauma center.
Clinical scope and volume
- Patient population: infants through adults
- Typical volume: 20–25 cases per day
- Case mix: full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures, including image-guided, vascular, and non-vascular interventions
- Admissions: as clinically indicated
Facility and resources
- EMR: Cerner; PACS: Fuji
- Standard IR suite and hospital-based specialty backup
- Support team: 2+ physicians and 1 procedural APP
Credentials, privileges, and compliance
- Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available (IMLC or temporary license eligible)
- Active state license or eligibility via IMLC/temporary license
- Board certified, active DEA, and facility-required certifications
- Willingness to assist qualified candidates with licensing
Compensation and logistics
- Rate: TBD
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Key responsibilities
- Perform and interpret interventional radiology and image-guided procedures
- Deliver high-quality care across the full IR case mix
- Document patient care in Cerner/Fuji PACS
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, APPs, and hospital staff
Required experience
- Demonstrated interventional radiology experience and relevant certifications as specified by the facility
