Locum Tenens General Orthopedic Surgeon — Hazard, KY (Inpatient/Outpatient; Start 07/16/2026)

Join a team in Hazard, Kentucky, providing both inpatient and outpatient general orthopedic care on a locum tenens basis. You’ll offer supplemental clinical coverage starting 07/16/2026 and continuing on an ongoing schedule, working roughly 15–17 days per month with beeper call and a 30-minute response expectation (about 50% callback). Typical patient volume runs 10–25 cases per day with about five phone consults.

You’ll be supported by one APP and four office staff members, and you’ll have access to a 99-bed department operating as a Level IV trauma center using the MediTech EMR. Common procedures include arthroscopy, below-knee amputations (BKA), and total joint replacements (hip and knee). Hospital privileges are required; travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Requirements: active Kentucky license or participation in IMLC, BC/BE in orthopedic surgery, and current BLS.
