Locums Emergency Medicine NP/PA — High-Support Community ED in Frankfort, KY (Flex Schedule, All Travel Covered)

We’re looking for experienced Emergency Medicine APPs (PA or NP) for locum coverage in Frankfort, KY. Join a well-run community ED with strong physician support, steady patient volume, and flexible scheduling to fit your needs.

Position details

• Estimated annual volume: ~30,000–40,000 patients
• Patients per hour: ~1.8–2.2
• Shift lengths: 10–12 hours (days, evenings, nights available)
• Schedule: Flexible locum coverage (weekday and weekend options)
• EMR: Meditech (common at similar facilities)

What you’ll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across a range of acuity
• Perform common ED procedures (laceration repair, splinting, I&D, etc.)
• Work closely with board-certified emergency physicians
• Float between fast track and the main ED as needed

What we need from you

• PA or NP, board certified/eligible with emergency medicine experience
• Active Kentucky license or the ability to obtain one
• ACLS and PALS required; ATLS preferred
• Ideally 1–2+ years of ED experience
