Position Details

  1. 3 provider group looking to replace relocating Neurosurgeon
  2. 6 Advanced Practice Providers
    1. 5 APPs participate in call rotation & typically take first call
  3. Employed position
  4. 40% outpatient and 60% operating room / inpatient mix
  5. Teaching affiliation with Michigan State University medical students
  6. Collegial and supportive practice environment
  7. Target patient load average of 20-30 patients per day in clinic, two days per week
  8. 10-20 surgical cases per week
  9. One clinic per week at an outreach location
  10. Call 1:3
  11. Level II Trauma Center
  12. Outpatient office embedded in the hospital
  13. EMR and software assisted triage system to improve surgical yield
  14. Staffed with 1 RN, 1 LPN, 7 C/MAs & 7 clerical
  15. Outreach clinic locations in Escanaba, Ishpeming, Hancock, Iron Mountain, Manistique, Newberry
  16. Embedded in the Brain and Spine Center which also includes Neurology, Physiatry, Interventional Pain, Neurophysiology and Neuro/Health Psychology.
