Required Procedures & Skills
- Central venous catheter insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers)
- Arterial line insertions
- Proficiency with ICU procedures; case logs will be requested for credentialing
Qualifications
- NP: Acute Care Certified (ACNP) OR PA with equivalent critical care experience
- Active Georgia NP or PA license required
- Minimum 1–2 years ICU experience as an APP
Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill patients in a high‑acuity ICU (10–15 patients per APP)
- Perform ongoing assessments and implement appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with attending physicians to establish and adjust plan of care
- Perform invasive procedures listed above
- Enter orders and document thoroughly in Cerner (H&P, consults, procedure notes, event/follow‑up notes)
Compliance
- Maintain required hospital privileges and provide procedure case logs for credentialing as requested
