Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician Marshfield WI, Inpatient/Outpatient, CAR-T & Transplant Experience

We’re seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Marshfield, WI. This role is a mix of inpatient and outpatient care with clinical duties and scheduled call, starting ASAP with ongoing coverage while a permanent search continues. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a weekly beeper call rotation (1:4) running Friday 7:30 a.m. to the following Friday 7:30 a.m. Call includes daily rounding (about 1–2 hours) and an afternoon rounding window from 4:00–5:00 p.m.; providers are expected to respond within 30 minutes.

What you’ll be caring for

• Average daily patient volume is about 15. You’ll manage a mix of hematology/oncology cases including acute leukemia, chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, and CAR-T patients.
• You’ll perform bone marrow biopsies, document post-autologous stem cell transplant and post-CAR-T care, and supervise chemotherapy patients.
• Expect 5–10 phone consults per day and add-on consults during clinic weekday call. Inpatient hospital call is part of the 1:4 weekly rotation.

Support and logistics

• The facility uses Cerner for the EMR.
• You’ll have specialty backup from Radiation Oncology and on-site support from RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff.
• Hospital privileges are required but temporary privileges are available; travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.

Requirements

• BC (or BC-eligible) in Hematology/Oncology with a completed fellowship.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS.
• No additional state licenses specified for this posting.
