Locum tenens opportunity in Seattle, WA to provide inpatient neurosurgery NP coverage. Schedule is four 10-hour weekday shifts (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with weekend beeper call (Saturday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM). Coverage begins August 31, 2026 and is ongoing. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice.
Clinical setting and workload
- Inpatient service with an average census of ~10 patients per day; assigned patient rounding and phone consults expected.
- Admissions and call ratio to be determined; typical call response time is 20 minutes.
- Collaboration with attending neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary team; perform procedures as needed (first assist optional).
Facility and support
- Epic EMR.
- Support staff includes RNs (4), MAs (4), PA/NPs (3), and office staff (4).
Credentials and requirements
- Board certified (BC required).
- Active Washington license or Compact/Universal license (IMLC) and DEA registration.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Prior neurosurgery experience preferred.
- Hospital privileges: not required; temporary privileges not available.
Position type: Locum Tenens — clinical coverage plus weekend call. Supplemental coverage role.
