Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Hematology & Oncology physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Seattle, WA (98104). This role supports both outpatient and inpatient oncology services with clinical duties and beeper call.

Assignment details

• Coverage: Oct 01, 2026 – ongoing
• Schedule: Mon–Thu, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (lunch 12:00–1:00 PM)
• Call: Weeknight beeper (Mon–Thu, 5:00 PM–7:00 AM) plus shared 24-hour weekend beeper; call response time 20 minutes; call ratio TBD
• Setting: Outpatient clinic with inpatient support and rounding responsibilities
• Reason: Supplemental coverage
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice: Agency-covered (details / negotiable)

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in clinic and during inpatient coverage
• Manage established oncology patients (avg. 11 patients/day)
• Participate in weeknight and weekend beeper call pools; respond to phone consults as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team to ensure continuity of care

Patient and case mix

• Adult oncology population
• Conditions include hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, lymphoma, and cell therapy cases
• Rounding and inpatient admissions as required

Facility and support

• EMR: Epic
• Specialty backup: Oncology team of 15–20 providers
• Support staff: ~15 RNs, ~5 PA/NPs, office staff 6+, MAs TBD

Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible in Hematology & Oncology (BC required)
• IM Licensure: Universal License (IMLC) required
• DEA registration and BLS certification required
• Fellowship preferred; experience in lymphoma and cell therapy preferred
• Proficient with Epic and committed to team-based care
• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges not available)
