Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 hours/day
Rate: $45/hr
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Georgia
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with medically fragile students preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks: standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and assisting students
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and direct monitoring of students’ health and wellness in classroom and during school bus transport
- Administer nebulization treatments, oxygen therapy with humidified air and compressor, and tracheostomy care
- Administer and dispense medications per orders
- Perform wound care and respond to sudden illness or injury; assist with health room coverage as needed
- Complete accurate documentation and daily time/service logs in accordance with board/district policy
- Assist with student health screenings, immunization record reviews, and communicable disease control procedures
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers
- Follow directions from the District Lead Nurse and school representatives
- Other duties as assigned
