Job Description
Join a busy cardiothoracic team in Reno, Nevada, providing locum coverage for a CVT surgeon. This role emphasizes first-assist responsibilities in the OR with additional inpatient and occasional clinic duties.
Assignment dates:
- October 13–November 3, 2025
- November 17–25, 2025
- December 15–28, 2025
Compensation: $110.00 per hour
Schedule and setting:
- Two weeks on / two weeks off
- Core hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM onsite, with night and weekend call
- Work environments: OR, inpatient units, and some clinic coverage
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as first assist in cardiothoracic procedures
- Perform vein harvesting (preferred)
- Provide inpatient rounding and postoperative support
- Cover nights and weekends as part of call rotation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Active Nevada PA license
- Flu and COVID vaccinations required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)
- Drive-in candidates preferred
