Patient Volume & Clinical Duties:

• Average daily: ~12 clinic patients; 1–2 hospital patients
• Admissions: 1–2 per day
• Rounding: inpatient and outpatient
• Provide prenatal visits, manage clinic patients, handle phone consults as assigned
• Provide obstetric and gynecologic emergency coverage during assigned shifts

Required Procedures & Clinical Competencies:
Required:

• Low‑risk pregnancy management
• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• Routine and complicated vaginal deliveries (including low forceps)
• Cesarean sections; decision-making for C‑section
• Breech deliveries, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP)
• Surgical gynecology: open and diagnostic/minor laparoscopy (tubal ligation, LOA, chronal tubation); operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA)

Preferred:

• Performance and interpretation of OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening, Level II/targeted)
• Amniocentesis

Facility & Support:

• EMR: Cerner
• Support staff: 1 MA, 2 PA/NPs, 1 office staff
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available

Credentialing:

• Board: BC required (or eligible)
• Certifications: BLS

Duties & Responsibilities (concise):

• Provide assigned clinical and call coverage for OB/GYN emergencies
• Manage prenatal care, clinic visits, and inpatient rounding
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, including complicated cases
• Perform gynecologic office procedures and surgical cases as outlined
• Coordinate care with nursing and ancillary staff to ensure safe patient management
