Overview
Provide skilled wound care nursing within an outpatient clinic environment, managing patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and current or at-risk skin breakdown. Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff, collaborating with the WOCN to optimize care.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required at time of submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
- Minimum 6 months wound care experience; outpatient wound clinic experience preferred
- At least 1 year of RN experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound-focused assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Deliver wound treatments and interventions according to established protocols and physician/WOCN recommendations
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed
- Act as a clinical resource and consultant to nursing staff and patients
- Collaborate with the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) to implement care plan changes and ensure best practices
