Requirements
- Active, valid Occupational Therapy state license.
- CPR and BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities and home/environmental factors to identify limitations and establish functional goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic techniques to improve daily living, self-care, and functional independence.
- Recommend, fit, and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Educate patients and families on condition management, adaptive strategies, and techniques to promote independence.
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress; modify plans as needed.
- Communicate and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
