- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
- BLS certification
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments; monitor and document vital signs continuously
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders
- Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds; monitor for infection or complications
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records and charting
- Educate patients and families on conditions and self-care as appropriate
- Respond promptly in medical emergencies and follow infection control protocols
