Locums Medical Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Locums Oncology Physician to provide outpatient coverage in Willimantic, Connecticut. This opportunity is ideal for a Medical Oncologist (generalist preferred) who is comfortable managing both general oncology and benign hematology patients in a collaborative, patient-focused practice.

Compensation: $425 Per Hour

Assignment Details

• Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic
• Schedule: 3 days per week
• Call: None

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage adult patients with a variety of oncologic conditions.
• Provide comprehensive medical oncology care with a focus on general oncology.
• Support the evaluation and management of benign hematology conditions.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy and supportive care as appropriate.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
• General Medical Oncology experience required.
• Experience managing benign hematology conditions preferred.
• Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain.
