Assignment details
- Dates: August 6, 2026, 8:00 AM – August 10, 2026, 8:00 AM
- Setting: Community hospital (Trauma Level IV)
- EMR: Epic
Schedule
- Onsite daily 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Offsite: beeper/phone call coverage
- Weekend coverage: required
- Call type: beeper/phone
- Call ratio: 3–6
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adults (100% adult population; ~50% geriatric)
- Manage admissions, daily rounds, consultations, discharges
- Provide coverage for inpatient medical unit and manage the 1-bed ICU as appropriate
- Respond to inpatient calls and medical emergencies while on beeper call
- Collaborate with nursing, specialists, and ancillary services
- Complete timely, accurate documentation in Epic
Required qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active, unrestricted Kentucky medical license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Active DEA registration
