Summary:
Contract RN position (Medical-Surgical) in Calais, ME. 13-week assignment beginning July 27, 2026, nights. Provide patient-centered, high-quality care consistent with Calais Community Hospital and Maine state standards.

Requirements:

• Current Maine RN license or authorization to practice pending licensure by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the care team

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate the patient care team, developing individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, team members, patients, and families as appropriate
• Apply the nursing process—assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating—to deliver safe, age-appropriate care across the lifespan (pediatric through geriatric)
• Promote teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel and comply with hospital policies on confidentiality, harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act
