Locum Tenens Urologist (Outpatient, Epic) — Festus MO | Travel, Lodging & Malpractice Covered

We’re looking for a board-certified (or eligible) urologist to cover an outpatient clinic in Festus, MO (63028) on a locum tenens basis from Aug 3, 2026 – Jul 31, 2027. This role is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., covering a vacancy while a long-term permanent search is underway. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided by the vendor.

Where you’ll work and charting

• Outpatient clinic setting using Epic for documentation.
• Hospital privileges are required.

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive adult urology care during your assigned coverage weeks.
• Perform procedures such as advanced endoscopic techniques, laparoscopic surgeries, ureteroscopy, and TRUS biopsies.
• Manage treatment plans and ensure continuity of care with patients and families.
• Collaborate with nursing and administrative teams to keep clinic flow efficient.
• Accurately document all patient encounters and procedures in Epic.

Required skills and credentials

• Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
• Fellowship required.
• Missouri medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Current BLS certification.

Procedures expected

• Required: general adult urology, advanced endoscopic techniques, laparoscopic surgeries, ureteroscopy, and TRUS biopsies.
• Preferred (nice to have): pediatric/neonate experience, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit, radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy/partial nephrectomy (including intraoperative ultrasound), pelvic node dissection, robotic surgery, adrenalectomy, and renal/bladder ultrasound.

Schedule and coverage type

• Clinical-only coverage during weekdays (Mon–Fri, 8a–5p).
