Clinical Scope
- Case mix: Cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, structural heart procedures, intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Required procedures: cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia, TEEs, anesthesia for structural heart interventions
Qualifications
- Active Texas medical license
- Board certification in Anesthesiology (required)
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative cardiac anesthesia for cardiovascular and thoracic cases
- Perform and interpret intraoperative TEEs
- Manage anesthesia care for structural heart procedures
- Coordinate care and collaborate daily with a team of three physicians (1 cardiovascular, 2 general)
- Work assigned rotating schedule as required
