Locum tenens opportunity in Wisconsin Rapids, WI (Outpatient). Coverage needed Dec 28, 2026 – Jan 3, 2027 for clinical duties and call. Travel, lodging, and malpractice provided by the agency.

Schedule

• Regular shifts: Mon–Thu 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
• On‑call: Weekday evenings 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM; weekend 24‑hour call.
• Specific dates:
  • Mon 12/28: 7a–3p
  • Tue 12/29: 7a–3p + on call 3p–7a
  • Wed 12/30: 7a–3p
  • Thu 12/31: 7a–3p + on call 3p–7a
  • Fri 1/1: 24‑hour holiday on call
  • Sat 1/2: 24‑hour on call
  • Sun 1/3: 24‑hour on call
• Call type: beeper; expected response time 20 minutes.

Clinical scope and responsibilities

• Provide general, regional, and local anesthesia across adult, pediatric, neonatal, trauma, obstetrical, neurosurgical, thoracic, complex vascular, open heart, and complex orthopedic cases.
• Perform spinal and epidural anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, post‑op epidurals and extremity blocks, and pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections (lumbar/cervical) and transforaminal injections with x‑ray guidance.
• Manage ventilation, acute volume and blood pressure issues; place and manage arterial lines, central lines, and PA catheters.
• Supervise CRNAs and anesthesia staff; respond to emergency airway and resuscitation calls.
• Patient admissions vary; phone consults not required.

• Hospital privileges: not required; temporary privileges not available.

Credentials and requirements

• Board certified in Anesthesiology (BC required).
• DEA registration required.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• No state license specified by facility (confirm state credentialing process prior to assignment).
