Schedule

• Clinical: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Call: Shared; inpatient call (26 weeks preferred); response as needed by facility

Patient Population & Clinical Workload

• Adult gastroenterology patients
• Average daily volume: ~8 procedures and ~7 consults
• Admissions and rounding required; phone consults expected
• Case mix: inpatient and outpatient GI (advanced GI experience preferred)

Facility & Support

• EMR: Epic
• Endoscopy suite available
• Hospital-based specialty backup
• Support staff: 2 GI APRNs

Privileges & Compliance

• Hospital privileges required
• Active Kansas medical license
• Board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology
• Active DEA required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS
• Documentation requirements: case logs, CME certificates, references, driver’s license, photo, physical

Required Procedures

• Diagnostic endoscopy
• Therapeutic endoscopy
• Inpatient GI consults and management

Compensation & Logistics

• Rate: TBD
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance: covered

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Manage inpatient consults and follow-up care
• Participate in shared weekday and weekend call
• Document all patient care in Epic
