Locum Urgent Care NP/PA – Torrington, CT (Mondays & Fridays; $90/hr)

Location: Torrington, CT
Compensation: $90 per hour
Schedule: Locum shifts with priority need on Mondays and Fridays. Providers must be available for split-site coverage during a shift and adaptable to last-minute schedule changes.

Position summary:
Seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide walk-in urgent care coverage. Providers will split shifts between two nearby clinic sites and must be able to travel between sites during the day.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide urgent care for patients of all ages (pediatrics through geriatrics)
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses
• Perform focused physical exams and interpret basic diagnostic tests (labs, x‑rays)
• Prescribe and manage treatments and medications
• Perform minor procedures: suturing, splinting, incision & drainage, wound care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
• Travel between two clinic locations as required during the shift

Requirements:

• Active NP or PA license in Connecticut
• Experience in urgent care, primary care, or emergency settings preferred
• Comfort treating all age groups
• Willingness to travel up to at least 45 minutes for shift coverage
• Flexible with site assignments and last-minute schedule changes
• Local candidates preferred
