Locums Pediatrician (Outpatient) — Whitefield, NH | 6-Month Full-Time Coverage

A well-established outpatient pediatric practice in Whitefield, NH seeks a locum pediatrician to provide full-time coverage for approximately six months during recruitment for a permanent provider. Practice delivers comprehensive, patient-centered pediatric care across the full outpatient spectrum.

Assignment details

• Duration: ~6 months (subject to permanent hire)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5 days/week required)
• Setting: Outpatient pediatrics
• Patient volume: ~18–22 patients/day
• Start date: ASAP (flexible)

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents
• Perform well-child exams, newborn care, immunizations, and routine preventive visits
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic pediatric conditions
• Monitor growth and developmental milestones; coordinate early intervention when indicated
• Conduct preventive screenings and deliver age-appropriate anticipatory guidance
• Counsel parents/caregivers on nutrition, safety, development, behavioral health, and disease prevention
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies; develop evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with patients and families

Required qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Current DEA registration
• Active New Hampshire medical license preferred
• Candidates without a New Hampshire license or IMLC eligibility must obtain both a locum tenens license and a permanent New Hampshire license prior to or during assignment
