Locum Diagnostic Radiologist — Procedural Focus, No Call/Weekends

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist for a 6-month onsite locum tenens assignment with possible extension. This role offers a procedural-focused practice in a supportive community hospital with no call or weekend responsibilities.

Assignment details

• Length: 6 months (possible extension)
• Start: As soon as credentialed
• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Coverage: Onsite only
• Call: None; Weekends: None

Clinical responsibilities
Provide onsite interpretation and perform a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including:

• Diagnostic mammography and breast biopsies
• Thyroid biopsies and breast wire localizations
• Sentinel node injections
• Arthrograms
• Upper GI studies, esophagrams, barium enemas
• Additional general diagnostic radiology procedures as needed

Workload and logistics

• Daily volume: ~10–25 exams
• Coverage frequency: 2–3 days per month (steady procedural pace during shifts)
• Systems: Meditech Expanse (EMR); Intelerad InteleConnect / InteleViewer (PACS)

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active Iowa medical license or ability to obtain one
• Independent experience performing the listed diagnostic and procedural work
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
