Adelphi seeks a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) to deliver medical nutrition therapy to residents of a residential healthcare facility in Lubbock County, Texas. This primarily remote, long-term contract supports person-centered care through assessments, individualized care plans, education, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Minimum qualifications
- Current RD/RDN credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Current, unrestricted Texas Dietitian License in good standing
- Degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field meeting credentialing requirements
- At least five years of relevant professional dietitian experience
- Demonstrated experience in medical nutrition therapy, nutrition screening, comprehensive assessment, care planning, and patient education
- Experience documenting in electronic medical/clinical record systems
- Proficiency with computers, remote-service technologies, and secure electronic documentation platforms
- Reliable internet and a secure, confidential remote workspace
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical leadership, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ability to meet required response and documentation timeframes
- Maintenance of all required licenses, registrations, certifications, and permits throughout the assignment
- Completion of required background screening, credential verification, onboarding, and facility training
- Adherence to professional standards, facility policies, confidentiality requirements, and standards of care
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote medical nutrition therapy under the direction of the facility’s Chief Clinical Dietitian or designated clinical leader
- Conduct nutrition screenings, comprehensive assessments, and follow-up evaluations
- Review medical history, nutritional status, dietary needs, goals, and restrictions to inform care
- Develop individualized nutrition plans, interventions, and recommendations
- Deliver nutrition education to residents and caregivers on dietary modifications and strategies to improve outcomes
- Monitor resident progress and revise interventions as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident nutrition needs
- Document assessment findings, care plans, recommendations, and treatment episodes in the facility’s Clinical Record System; prepare written or dictated reports as required
- Complete all records and reports accurately and within established deadlines
- Respond to facility communications and requests within required timeframes
- Perform additional nutrition-related duties as assigned and support timely, continuous dietitian services for referred residents
