We’re seeking an experienced anesthesiologist to provide locum tenens coverage at a hospital in Lewisburg, PA. This role covers a wide variety of cases and anesthetizing locations, so you’ll need to be comfortable with both general and regional techniques as well as supervising CRNAs.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide anesthesia care across a broad mix of cases: vascular, OB/GYN, general surgery, GI procedures, pediatrics, plastics, orthopedics (high-volume), robotics, and urology.
• Perform regional nerve blocks for a high volume of orthopedic patients; use MAC, spinal, regional, and ultrasound-guided techniques as indicated.
• Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs in a 1:3 CRNA/room model.
• Take weekday call (3:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) when requested.

Patient volume and support

• Patient population: All ages
• Case mix and daily volume vary by anesthetizing location
• EMR: Epic
• Support staff: CRNAs available (1:3 ratio)

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania medical license required
• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of post-training experience preferred
• Proven ability to perform regional peripheral nerve blocks for a high-volume ortho service
• Willingness to take weekday on-call shifts as described

• Typical credentialing timeline: up to 90 days
