Locum Emergency Medicine physician needed in Midwest

We’re looking for a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to cover shifts at a well-established Emergency Department on a locum tenens basis, with the possibility of ongoing coverage.

What the schedule looks like

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Assignment: Locum tenens, with potential for continued coverage

What to expect in the ED

• Average volume: about 36 patients per day
• Admissions: roughly 3 per shift
• Case mix: a blend of inpatient and outpatient emergency care
• Team support: experienced ED RNs plus one Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
• Electronic charting: Meditech

Required qualifications

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is mandatory; board-eligible candidates will not be considered
• Fellowship training is optional—not required
• Active, unrestricted medical license or ability to obtain one
• DEA registration and ACLS certification required, if applicable
