Location: Blacksburg, Virginia
Schedule and Coverage
- Coverage: 8 days per month
- 24/7 call coverage required to support trauma and STEMI programs
- Patient volume: ~15 patients per coverage period
- EMR: EWC
Clinical Duties
- Provide inpatient interventional cardiology care
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Provide 24/7 STEMI call coverage to support Chest Pain Accreditation
- Evaluate and manage acute cardiac conditions
- Coordinate care with hospitalists, emergency medicine, APPs, nursing, and specialists
- Deliver timely, guideline-driven advanced cardiac interventions
Support and Team
- Dedicated nursing staff
- APP support
- Multidisciplinary collaboration
Requirements
- Board certified in Cardiology
- Experience in invasive interventional cardiology
- Active Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current DEA registration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
