Job Description

A busy, well-established healthcare employer in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist with strong peripheral vascular skills or a significant interest in expanding into peripheral interventions to join its growing team.

Join a highly experienced physician team.  The interventional physicians here perform both coronary and endovascular procedures, with a substantial volume of complex peripheral vascular cases. This facility offers extensive on-site diagnostic and procedural capabilities, including an office-based cath lab transitioning to an ambulatory surgery center, nuclear imaging including SPECT and cardiac PET, advanced cardiac CT, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, and comprehensive venous services. The peripheral program has a diverse referral base and provides advanced interventions utilizing technologies such as atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound, lithotripsy, thrombectomy, and stenting. An additional two-room ASC is also under construction and expected to open in 2027, providing further opportunities for procedural growth.

The physician for this position will practice across a busy outpatient and hospital-based environment with a strong established referral network and a large existing patient base. The affiliated hospital is a major tertiary facility with multiple cardiac and peripheral intervention labs, electrophysiology capabilities, a hybrid operating room, and comprehensive structural heart services. The position offers a favorable call schedule, with interventional STEMI and acute limb ischemia coverage shared among the interventional team, as well as support from advanced practice providers for inpatient consultation and rounding. While some general cardiology responsibilities are expected, the primary focus for the interventionalist will be coronary and peripheral vascular procedures.

The opportunity offers a base salary guarantee plus productivity bonus, along with CME and paid time off, relocation assistance, health insurance, professional dues, malpractice coverage including tail contribution, and other benefits. This is an outstanding opportunity for an interventional cardiologist who wants to join a high-volume practice and build a significant peripheral vascular practice within a growing cardiovascular program.
