Job Description
Join a leading Brooklyn healthcare organization as a full-time Breast Imaging radiology leader. This role combines clinical practice with administrative oversight to develop and expand a comprehensive breast imaging program and ensure high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical breast imaging services: screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures.
- Serve as Chairperson of Mammography: oversight of clinical operations, quality and safety (MQSA compliance), workflow optimization, and program development.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, protocol standardization, and performance monitoring.
- Supervise and mentor radiology staff and trainees; promote physician education and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Participate in recruitment, credentialing, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with hospital leadership and other departments on service expansion, equipment acquisition, and strategic planning.
Required qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
- Fellowship training in Breast Imaging or Women’s Imaging.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR).
- Current New York medical license or eligibility to obtain one before start.
- MQSA-qualified physician meeting federal Mammography Quality Standards Act requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided procedures.
- Previous leadership experience (e.g., Section Chief, Medical Director, Chairperson) preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills.
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient-centered care, and education.
